Going soft on Nancy Drew softcovers
Quick post here: I've just started reading a Nancy Drew paperback! As I mentioned to fellow members of the Nancy Drew Book Fans online group , it took me about half a year to be open to the possibility of reading anything beyond vol. 56 -- The Thirteenth Pearl -- of the original, matte yellow series. And, practically a year passed before I developed enough interest in the paperback Digests to want to read them and actually look for copies online. And I came across two which I snapped up at bargain price (always a cause of excitement for me!). The books arrived a couple of days ago. And right now I'm in chapter 6 of one of them. I must say, I am enjoying it -- much more than expected! I'm getting a kick out of retro elements in The Clue in the Camera , vol. 82 .
